In early 2021, Gang Feng New Materials successfully mass-produced an adsorbent called "Titanium-Based Lithium Adsorbent" on its first production line. This product, available in both powder and particle forms, is suitable for lithium extraction from salt lakes using different types and processes.

The product is a lithium-ion sieve made from titanium dioxide as the base material, featuring a stable crystal structure and three-dimensional ion exchange channels. It exhibits a high adsorption rate for lithium during the salt lake lithium extraction process, with a simple and convenient manufacturing process. It shows strong selectivity for lithium in terms of ionic radius and valence, rarely adsorbing other cations in brine, such as magnesium, sodium, potassium, boron, and calcium. Additionally, it is easy to desorb, has low solubility loss, can be regenerated multiple times, and has a long service life.

It is reported that China has confirmed lithium reserves of 3.5 million tons, ranking fourth globally, with salt lake lithium resources accounting for approximately 78%. Sulfate-type salt lakes (Qinghai) and carbonate-type salt lakes (Tibet) are the main sources. Considering the importance of lithium resources to the new energy industry, the development of salt lake lithium resources, particularly in sulfate-type and carbonate-type salt lakes in Qinghai and Tibet, should be prioritized. Gang Feng has collaborated with lithium extraction companies in Qinghai salt lakes, conducting extensive lithium extraction experiments for three consecutive years. The results continuously prove that the "Titanium-Based Lithium Adsorbent" developed by the company outperforms existing lithium extraction adsorbents in brine from sulfate-type and carbonate-type salt lakes. Based on this, the company invested in and successfully put into production.

Currently, under the guidance of salt lake lithium extraction experts, the company is conducting specialized lithium extraction experiments using mass-produced products in the brine of Qinghai Dong and Xitai salt lakes. Gang Feng is compiling a comprehensive set of data and actively communicating with major lithium extraction enterprises in Qinghai, striving to contribute to the salt lake lithium extraction industry.
